( Artistic Director ) is the founder of Theater Reconstruction Ensemble, for which he has conceived and directed each mainstage production and developmental program. He has also collaborated with Target Margin Theater, The Talking Band, Tugboat Collective, Little Lord, and artists Jaclyn Backhaus, David Herskovits, David Greenspan, and Alex Kveton, among others. His process of creative collaboration has been taught at Abrons Arts Center through The School of Making Thinking. He recently served as the Producer of OBIE and Drama Desk Award-winning Ma-Yi Theater Company.
( Associate Artistic Director ) is the co-founder of TRE and a freelance sound designer and composer. Recent designs include Happy Days, Elevada (Yale Repertory Theatre), He Left Quietly (Toronto Summerworks), Chimpanzee (St. Anne's Warehouse Puppet Lab), The Tempest, Uncle Vanya, Second Language (Target Margin Theater), as well as many projects with TRE, including Set in the Living Room of a Small Town American Play; The Three Seagulls, or MASHAMASHAMASHA!; Doctor Faustus; and A Doll's House. Kate is an associate artist with Target Margin Theater and Little Lord.
( Producing Director ) has been with TRE since 2012, resulting in both critical and artistic growth for the company. Additional producing credits include Salty Brine's Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret (The Red Room), The Lost Light (SharkMother Arts Collective) and Nuclear Love Affair (Built4Collapse). He previously served as the Artistic Coordinator for Ars Nova.
( Development Associate ) is a director, choreographer and performer. She is the Development Associate at National Sawdust and an Associate Artist with Built for Collapse. Original Choreography / Direction: Peaches (WAXworks, Bates Dance Festival), Bulls (Outlet Dance Project). Performance / Collaboration with: The Table of Silence Project, Bryan Strimpel, Marjorie Folkman, Wesley Doucette, Noah Kaplan and Tim Manley. ( Creative Production Manager ) is currently the Production Manager for the Concert and Lectures department for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and serves as TRE's Creative Production Manager. He has previously worked as an Audio/Visual Engineer, Production Manager, and Technical Director for HERE Arts Center, The Bushwick Starr, The Rubin Museum, The American Repertory Ballet, TRANSFER Gallery, Gotham Chamber Opera, EngardeArts, and numerous other arts institutions throughout New York City.
( Founding Resident Playwright ) is a playwright and one co-founder of Fresh Ground Pepper. Her play Men on Boats receiveda NYT Critics’ Pick for its most recent New York production (Off B'way, Playwrights Horizons & Clubbed Thumb). TRE works include You On The Moors Now; Set in the Living Room of a Small Town American Play; and The Three Seagulls, or MASHAMASHAMASHA!.She has received commissions from Playwrights Horizons and Ars Nova and is the 2016 Tow Foundation Playwright-in-Residence at Clubbed Thumb. ( Artistic Associate ) has been working with TRE since its inception and has performed in five mainstage productions with the company. Jon is an actor, puppeteer, and teaching artist in NYC. He toured for two and a half years as a puppeteer with War Horse in North America and Japan. Currently he is developing new work with Dead Puppet Society and teaching puppetry around NYC.
( Artistic Associate ) is a writer, director, and performer based in Brooklyn, NY. She has worked with Moises Kaufman and members of Tectonic Theater Project, and is a founding member of harunalee.
